The invention and implementation of thermoplastics in the field of medicine has enabled healthcare professionals to make great strides in their medical practices. This anticipation is evident with the company’s new offering, VariCoat^®, which leverages many years of expertise to enable the company to extrude a uniform, smooth, concentric polymer “jacket” directly onto an impressive variety of substrates, including metal wires, synthetic braids and glass fibers.“We developed this technique keeping in mind the rising demand for medical products to look, feel, and perform better than previous versions,” explains Sunday. In a similar vein, RAUMEDIC’s recent innovation of core-free extrusion for high-pressure medical tubing offers customers new avenues to improve performance and lower costs in areas such as Angiography and Vertebroplasty.
