As an instance, one of PAYER Group’s customers produced a single-use consumable. PAYER Group helped the client redesign the existing product, an arterial blood drawing device used in ICU’s main purpose, electrolyte and blood gas analyses. The newly developed system has only three instead of five parts, consisting of the plastic housing, a bended PVC capillary coated with heparin, and a plastic base. This results in a significant cost advantage, lower complexity, and significant improvements due to the elimination of unneeded sealing areas and the use of a transparent housing. In addition, the safety factor is increased, as the plastic capillaries offer less potential for injury than a glass capillary.

With such stellar results, PAYER Group views itself as a partner to its customers, aiming for long-term and strategic partnerships. The company sets a focus on technology and innovation management and is striving to expand the healthcare and medical business. As for geographical development, in addition to the Chinese and Hungarian production sites, PAYER Group will establish a new production site at the beginning of next year. “We are expanding our global setup with a site in Malaysia to diversify our supply chain in Asia and thus further strengthen our resilience and agility,” concludes Viet.
