Talking about the products for gynecology, Olympus has been leading the way in promoting laparoscopic and laparo-endoscopic single site (LESS) hysterectomy. With LESS surgeries, physicians can perform the surgery with a single incision in the umbilicus. The platform’s 3D track feature enables clients to view the map of the capsule’s anatomical location within the small bowel that correlates to clinical images. This provides actionable information to physicians for subsequent treatment through deep enteroscopy or surgery. Physicians can get incredibly clear and vivid images thanks to the Olympus lens and sensitive high-resolution image sense technology. Further, the platform allows physicians to easily manage the capsule practice and time efficiently through its intelligent reading modes. Interestingly, ENDOCAPSULE EC-10 superimposes identical images and images full of bubbles and debris while optimizing the speed to quickly move past recorded images to greatly reduce playback times, increasing reading efficiency and effectiveness.

To simplify endoscope reprocessing record and image management, the company has developed Olympus Knowledge Exchange System (KE) that facilitates centralized reprocessing through extended connectivity from Olympus devices. VISERA ELITE is comprised of the OTV-S190 video processor and the CLV-S190 Xenon light source which provides one-touch access to HDTV and NBI to offer brighter, powerful imaging with lesser operating noise and enhanced operability.
