The wireless brain implant can be utilized for offering limited sight to the blind people with the help of bypassing the eye.
FREMONT CA: Many scientists are trying to conduct a clinical trial of a brain implant to restore limited sight to blind people. The implant has been developed at Monash University in Melbourne, and Gennari's system consists of bypassing the eye entirely and focusing on the brain's vision center.

A person can wear a pair of glasses which is outfitted with a camera through a computer. It helps to see the brain implants. The wireless implant position will be on the surface of the brain, and it can create 172 different bright spots that the person can witness. Therefore, by accurately developing these so-called phosphenes, it can offer necessary visual information about what is in front of the users. However, it has implications for a host of a condition such as it can render the eye, optic nerve, and dysfunctional due to which it offers hope to the people who once thought they do not have the chance to see ever again.
Moreover, the new implants are relatively small, and they do not need the wires to protrude from the scale. Such a system will help it remain implanted for a long time and reduce infection chance. Although the system is developed particularly for restoring vision, the same technology can overcome paralysis by bypassing through the injured nerves and connecting the stricken limbs directly into the brain.
The present prototype consists of a head-worn device with a camera, wireless transmitter, vision processing hardware, and software. The implant included 9*9 millimeter tiles. The objective of the cortical vision prosthesis is to restore the visual perception of the people who have lost their vision with electrical stimulation to the visual cortex. It is a part of the brain that can integrate, receive, and process visual information.
