“In2Bones ensures surgical instruments are pre-sterilized, opened and used for the first time, and discarded after the first use. Our fixation implants and calibrated instruments are guaranteed to only touch one patient, ever,” states Jon Simon, senior vice president of marketing, In2Bones. This avoids the painstaking process of sterilization of the instruments before surgery. The process can save around $400 to $750 per patient by reducing the hospital working labor and sterilization processing costs.

In2Bones has carried out studies on how PEEK (high-performance polyether ether ketone) can be utilized as a better alternative to the typical metal implant which can lead to the creation of radio-transparent fixation devices. These fixation devices can also be used by patients who have metal allergies and those who prefer an alternative to metal implants. By leading surgeons around the globe, PEEK-based innovation is considered as the alternative to a traditional metal implant.

In2Bones Global Inc. recently announced the launch of CoLink® View plating system, and these plates are marketed under the CoLink® View brand name. CoLink® View MTP and Lapidus plates are used to fuse the arthritic toe joints and stabilizing midfoot bones. CoLink® View bone plates offer transverse joint compression with a combination of titanium metal and PEEK hub which is X-ray transparent that allows the doctors to monitor bone fusion site during the healing process after the surgery. If in case metal plates are used, this process cannot be monitored by the surgeons because metal absorbs X-rays and blocks the image. In2Bones is committed to expanding the extremities market by launching innovations to improve surgical outcomes and patient care.
