Increasingly, health systems offer at-home care, which places an increasing emphasis on efficiency and greater emphasis on digitization among home healthcare workers. Enterprise devices, by definition, have enhanced security features built into their design. On a basic level, these devices and the software applications they contain rely on password protection. Moving forward, many home healthcare organizations will use advanced security protocols, such as fingerprint readers, facial recognition, and other biometrics. Workers can focus on their patients when these security features are embedded in the devices, and security becomes an integral part of the overall user experience. As a result of requiring additional authentication to access device information and network access, care provider networks gain an extra layer of security.
