OCuSOFT is a privately-held undertaking based in Richmond, TX USA that specializes in eye and skincare. The company has a reputation for being innovative, especially in Ocular Surface Disease (OSD), and has served the ophthalmic industry with unique proprietary brands and is expanding its presence in the skincare market. OCuSOFT, popular for its #1 Doctor Recommended Brand of Eyelid Cleansers, OCuSOFT Lid Scrub, is focused on improving patient’s health by offering them the best quality products.
The major attraction is the state-of-the-art eyelid warming device, which is to be marketed as OCuSOFT Thermal 1-Touch. This device will offer preset modes and temperature settings, which can treat four eyelids simultaneously. Such features provide enhanced patient convenience for in-office processes. Moreover, the device removes disposable price by leveraging the Digi Lens technology, making Thermal 1-Touch affordable for the physicians. The OCuSOFT Thermal 1-Touch is set to challenge Alcon’s iLux and Sight Sciences TearCare devices as their base prices are significantly higher.
OCuSOFT and Essentia Pharma work together and contribute toward product development funding as well as for the purpose of regional marketing. Together, the companies have been looking for a solution in various devices that could offer their doctors a wide range of Dry Eye therapies. The cost was the major challenge in most of the device which was addressed by Digital Heat with an easy-to-use treatment modality priced in a way that every business can afford it.
John Devine, the man behind Digital Heat, will be OCuSOFT’s Vice President for medical devices. OCuSOFT’s pipeline portfolio is exciting, and it is the best time to join hands with the OCuSOFT family.
