Technologies that can help to improve image quality

These technologies help the radiologists with more accurate information which they can use for diagnosis. Both technologies can enhance the visualization of overlying and underlying patient anatomy. It can also improve the subtle features that can be difficult to visualize with the conventional 2D radiographs.

The dual-energy can adjust from high- and low-energy exposures by utilizing a patented differential filtration to capture two images successfully. The two images include a soft-tissue-only image and a bone-only image, but the dose for them is similar to the one used in a standard chest X-ray. With this technology, the radiologists can remove or emphasize structures.
Another development of technology that has enhanced the chest X-ray capture is the SmartGrid software. The image that is captured by the software can decrease the damaging effect of scatter radiation. It enhances the contrast of the image when a physical anti-scatter grid is not utilized. SmartGrid process demand is higher compared to the images taken without SmartGrid enhancement due to its clarity.
