The collaboration leads to significantly better outcomes and savings and also contributes to HOPCo's position as a global leader in musculoskeletal complex data management.
FREMONT, CA : An intuitive patient experience focuses on trust, early detection of illness, promotion of knowledge and behavior change, and improved results. Despite advancements in patient experience, patients, payers, clinicians, and device manufacturers continue to encounter obstacles in managing diseases. Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo), one of the leaders in musculoskeletal (MSK) physician practice management, outcomes management, and value-based care solutions, declared the acquisition of Future Health Works (FHW) MSK-specific technology platforms, including msk.ai.

This Collaboration will significantly speed up the implementation of evidence-based protocols, automated clinical decision support, remote care management, and value-based care programs. The novel software developed by FHW includes unique characteristics such as remote patient monitoring (RPM) with real-time patient input, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and patented motion capture technology.
"The FHW platforms and their AI capabilities combined with HOPCo's outcomes management infrastructure will make the transition from volume-based to value-based care easier and more predictable. At the same time, providers require more advanced tools to monitor, track, and report outcomes in real-time as part of their participation in value-based care programs. The myrecovery and msk.ai platforms impressed us because the engagement rates of patients and providers were dramatically higher than any other platforms we have ever studied and tested." says Dr. Wael Barsoum, President and Chief Transformation Officer of HOPCo.
FHW's platforms feature a comprehensive set of predictive analytics capabilities that act as an early warning system for patients at high risk of bad outcomes or hospital readmissions. This technology complements HOPCo's already robust outcomes management platform, claims analytics, clinical datasets, and IT tools, which have successfully improved clinical outcomes, patient experience, and access to care while lowering total MSK care costs and historical spending trends for payors across broad geographies.
