• Insulin pumps
An article from Diabetes Therapy published in June 2020 states that the first insulin pump hit the market in 1974. A pump is an alternative to self-injection if users have type 2 diabetes and must inject insulin many times each day.
It is possible to wear this digital gadget, roughly the size of a deck of cards, around their waist, in a pocket, with an armband, or even affixed to a belt or bra. When users are out and about or at work, an insulin pump may be more active because all they have to do is press a button to administer the insulin rather than getting ready a syringe and injecting themself.
• Continuous glucose monitors (CGMs)

An integrated CGM was given FDA approval in June 2020, enabling it to be connected to other diabetes care tools like insulin pumps and blood glucose monitors.
