The Cranial LOOP cranial fixation devices are a smart system crafted from PEEK-OPTIMA, a biocompatible polymer, to fixate bone flaps in craniotomies. It is completely instrument-free due to its fast, easy ‘pull-and-tighten’ action, which allows surgeons to fixate a standard bone flap within a minute, using only three devices. This helps doctors in achieving optimal stability during surgery and desired esthetic post-operation results. The Cranial COVER device is a postoperative cranial burr hole cover system also made of PEEK-OPTIMA. Its function is to completely cover the burr hole, thus avoiding postoperative skin concavities. Cranial COVER is a ready-to-use, instrument-free, and sterilised implant that is placed over a burr hole after an intrusive surgery. Furthermore, the product’s ultra-low profile, less than 0.3 millimetres in thickness, and its enhanced adaptability, eliminate the appearance of any cosmetic defects during rehabilitation after an operation.
