“We deploy MRO engineers directly to hospitals. These engineers work on-site, becoming part of the hospital’s biomedical department. This integration enables rapid response and effective delivery of comprehensive passive and active services, such as routine operating check and preventive maintenance, significantly lowering equipment failure rates,” says Zhang.

A key component of iDAE’s success is its integrated MRO and managed service (TIMMS) and asset service management (ASM) software. TIMMS represents a shift from the conventional single-brand maintenance model, offering comprehensive maintenance for all medical equipment within hospitals. The ASM software, developed in-house, further streamlines service management activities, marking a significant step in digital innovation in the medical equipment maintenance field. Under this concept, iDAE has developed platforms like iClub and iSpace. iClub enhances engineer collaboration while iSpace addresses the need for improved working conditions for hospital in-house engineers.

The company tailors its solutions to different hospital categories: large Tier 3A hospitals, Tier 2 hospitals, and private or smaller institutions.

The company does not seek to compete with OEMs. Instead, it works in tandem with them, focusing on straightforward maintenance tasks while depending on manufacturers for complex issues related to advanced equipment and parts, which are often under stringent OEM control.

The results speak for themselves, iDAE has reduced equipment failure rates by up to 50 percent, provided cost savings of up to 30 percent, and completed over 80 percent of repairs within 24 hours.
