Interestingly, Mattison started Core products with the vision to create a comfortable sleeping pillow after suffering from a sore neck and not having found an ergonomic solution. Tri-Core, the first support pillow created by the company, is one of its top-selling products today. Another best-in-class product is the Therapeutica sleeping pillow, a dual contoured, semi-custom fit pillow. When a prominent chiropractic college in Canada conducted a clinical study for posture, muscle activation, and pressure distribution, they tested the pillow versus standard pillows. The conclusive results of the study indicated that Therapeutica did not lead to changes in muscle activations or posture in the head, neck, and upper back as compared to a standard pillow.

Furthermore, it reduced mean peak pressures and increased the contact area. It proved to have potential implication for reducing symptoms and improving healing in patients with neck pain. Over the years, Core products have expanded their offerings to include an array of innovative products that treat injuries in any part of the body from head-to-toe. The solutions include hot/cold packs; back support belts, cushions, rolls, and rests; moist heat packs; a range of orthopedic pillows; neck rolls; soft braces; and many more.

Over the last five years, the most significant trend Core Products has seen is the way their solution is reaching the people who need them. In addition to providing solutions to the traditional healthcare retailers such as doctors’ office, pharmacy, home medical equipment store, they envision catering to a wider audience through an e-commerce platform such as Amazon. In an effort to do so, Core Products plans to revamp their websites and have started to add instructional videos and product categories video to make it easier for professional to recommend products and to ensure the right purchase by customers.
